Skarlett Heart is an energetic musical live performing band that will appeal to a range of music enthusiasts. Their repertoire covers classic rock, rhythm & blues, modern rock and upbeat dance .

Russ Harris has been captivating audiences with his dynamic performances across the Thumb & Southeast Michigan since the 90s. Known for his powerful vocals & guitar skills, Russ has entertained fans with a wide range of covers spanning multiple genres including Motown, 80s classics, pop, dance, rock, and soul.
Initially inspired by the energetic sounds of new wave, Russ's musical journey shifted as his guitar skills developed, eventually leading him to the guitarists of rock. Then, he quickly discovered that the key to a great live performance was playing songs that connect with the audience and pack the dance floor. By incorporating pop, country, and even hip hop into his rock-infused sets, Russ found the perfect formula for a high-energy, crowd-pleasing show.
Russ takes immense pride in his high-range backup harmonies, which add a unique layer to the music. Over the past decade, he has embraced the role of lead vocalist in several projects, stepping away from his guitar to focus solely on his voice and interaction with the crowd.
Whether on stage with his guitar or leading the crowd with his vocals, Russ wants to bring the ultimate entertainment package to every show.

Growing up in Detroit, Mike started playing at the age of 8 years old and was taught by his dad, as well as many good friends. He continued to explore all things guitar and began copying his favorite rock bands, learning by ear. It did not take long before he started writing his own songs, with the musical structure and musical arrangements as being his main contributions. Likewise, Mike found himself doing many studio sessions for his bands as well as others at various studios, including one he helped build and furnish. Mike has been in a multitude of bands, but mostly looks back on The After Hours Blues Band and Ghetto Puppet as his favorites. The first being a hard working nonstop blues band, the latter an all original progressive rock band opening for major acts in Detroit's historic rock scene. Mike has taken Jazz and Classical lessons from Wayne State alumni Keith Warner and John Hall. Influences include Ritchie Blackmore, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Robben Ford, B. B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Christopher Parkening, Andreas Segovia and many others.... Mike has many guitars, but will tell you the Fender Strat is his favorite.

Steve began his formal music training at age 5. He is classical trained in piano and in his early teens he developed a passion for the big anthem sound while playing the large church pipe organ. Steve played in several rock bands in his early years in South Western Ontario where he grew up including The Flying 3, Strykx and Reconcile. Steve takes his melodic and harmonic keyboard style from influences of Ludwig Beethoven, Billy Joel, Jon Lord and the Keith Emerson. As an engineer, Steve has mastered the technics and layering on many of the top synthesizers from the 70's, 80's to the present time. Steve brings a dynamic and energy to the band that is truly entertaining.

Bruce Schafer, is no stranger to the music scene. Bruce embarked on his bass journey in 7th grade, honing skills and playing gigs by 9th grade. After high school, he reunited with his grade school buddies to form Adrenalin; Recording, touring and even opening for six legendary groups in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During his time with Adrenalin, he also contributed a track for the Iron Eagle movie soundtrack. Taking talents further, he toured across the United States alongside Mark Farner of Grand Funk, solidifying dedication to the craft and the stage. Bruce brings the groove to life for all to feel and experience.

Russ began playing drums at the age of 5, after banging on everything in the house to the beats of his dad's records. His father (a former high school drummer), brought home a snare drum for Russ to play and support his curiosity. At age 7, his world turned upside down when he saw the Beatles movies, "A Hard Days Night" and "Help". From that moment, he became a life long Beatles freak and followed the drumming inspirations of Ringo Starr. Russ's parents also bought him his first drum kit that year and it has been his passion ever since. Russ has played rhythm for a few local Michigan's bands over the years, including The Silver Dollar Band for 25 years and most recently The Shot Down Band. His main influences include Ringo Starr, John Bonham, Neil Peart and Gary Husband. You will sense the energy and the heartbeat Russ brings every time Skarlett Heart fires up to do a live show!

Our friend of the Skarlett Heart family, Jordan Alexia has been singing as far back as she can remember. Her first solo stage performance was at the age of 6 and she instantly fell in love with the stage. She became extremely active in choir and theatre in school and community programs. She played the lead in numerous musicals and plays, winning the Thespian Musical Theatre Performance Scholarship Award for the sate of Michigan in 2007. After high school, Jordan went to Macomb Community College on a full-ride scholarship as the president of the show choir group, The Macombers. Shortly after, her musical interest expanded part theatre into more mainstream genres and she began entering local competitions winning the first Annual St. Clair Idol in 2010. Jordan entered the live music scene with the band Cosmic Goove in 2014 and performed at many festivals, bars and weddings. Always a 100% performance from Jordan!
